Building Enclosure Commissioning Mania
In support of our rapidly expanding building enclosure commissioning (BECx) services, our team now holds several commissioning credentials. Arjun holds a Certified Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (CBECxP) credential from IIBEC, and Autumn (yours truly) holds the dual Accredited Commissioning Authority + Building Enclosure (CxA+BE) and Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) credential from the University of Wisconsin.
While we may (endearingly) refer to these designations as “alphabet soup”, these formal credential processes demonstrate CopelandBEC’s interest, dedication, and aptitude for sytematic quality assurance for buildings of all types and sizes.
Crossing the Finish Line
Several projects are coming to a close this Summer, including:
New Horizon Academy (BECx; New Horizon Academy, Rylaur LLC, Steiner Construction)
Northfield Ice Arena (BECx; City of Northfield, JLG Architects, RJM Construction)
Minnesota Judicial Center (investigation; State of Minnesota).
Not Your Average 3rd Grader
CopelandBEC recently celebrated our 8th birthday, making us a very precocious 3rd grader. Instead of following suit in the current AEC firm scramble for rapid growth, we’ve decided to refocus on three core service areas: BECx, roofing, and litigation support. Matt sums it up nicely here. TL;DR — we want to provide exceptional service and outsized value to our clients, and this is how we’re going to do just that.
